How to withdraw funds

These days, there are so many safe and easy ways of withdrawing money. Take advantage of any of the following methods of accessing your money:

  • Visa Debit Card
    • Visa Debit gives you the benefits of a credit card while spending your own money. Access your funds using EFTPOS when you make a purchase in-store, at ATMs Australia-wide and with Bank@Post through Australia Post.
    • The daily EFTPOS limit is $1,020 per card, including any fees and charges. This is accessed by using the ‘savings’ or ‘cheque’ functionality, and includes ATM and Bank@Post transactions.
    • For EFTPOS transactions that are larger than the daily limit, please contact us.
    • Visa Transactions allow you to access your available funds in your account. Visa Transactions can be accessed by using the ‘credit’ or ‘visa debit’ functionality. This includes online purchases, payWave and over the phone purchases.
    • Changes to your Card PIN can be made via Internet Banking or our Mobile banking app.
    • Many ATMs in Australia are fee free for Bank First customers. Some ATM providers may charge a transaction fee, but you will be advised on screen and have the option to cancel the transaction before being charged.
  • Visa Platinum and Visa Classic Credit Cards

    Our Visa Platinum and Visa Classic Credit Cards lets you access your money anytime, anywhere, from almost any location in Australia and over 24 million places worldwide. Use your Card:

    • Wherever the Visa logo is displayed.
    • At EFTPOS terminals (by pressing 'credit').
    • At contactless EFTPOS terminals (payWave) for transactions up to $100.
    • At ATM terminals where the Visa logo is displayed.
    • Over the phone to pay bills or to make purchases.
    • Via the internet to make purchases.
    • Using BPAY or BPAY View to pay bills online.

    Changes to your Card PIN can be made via Internet Banking or our Mobile Banking app.

  • Internet Banking

    With Internet Banking you can access your funds remotely and safely, when you need them. You have 24/7 access to:

    Ways to transfer funds and pay:

    • Make internal transfers between your accounts.
    • Make external transfers, including 24/7 real-time payments with NPP transactions and Osko. You can send and receive NPP transactions through a registered PayID which can be in the form of a BSB and account number, mobile number, email address, ABN or Organisation ID.
    • Pay your bills via BPAY and register for BPAY View.

    Daily transaction limits apply as follows:

    • $2,000 for external transfers
    • $2,000 for NPP or Osko payments
    • $10,000 for BPAY, with a total daily limit of $14,000 per account.

    Manage your account:

    • View & print account balances and transaction history (up to 12 months prior).
    • Register for eStatements to view and print your account Statements online.
    • Obtain a statement of interest earned for taxation purposes for current and previous financial years.
    • Check the interest earned on your accounts for the last Financial Year.
    • Redraw funds paid in advance on your variable rate loan at a minimum of $500 per transaction.
    • Order a personal cheque or deposit book.
  • Phone Banking

    Phone Banking is convenient and easy and allows you to access your funds seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

    It provides you access to your account details by calling 1300 654 822, from overseas, call +61 3 9834 8560. Overseas phone charges apply.
    Phone Banking transactions are fee free. There is no limit to the number of transactions you can make without incurring a fee.

    With our Phone Banking service you can:

    • Obtain balances on all accounts.
    • Transfer funds between accounts on the one Membership and other authorised accounts within the Bank (transferred funds are available immediately).
    • Check the last ten transactions.
    • Access interest earned for the previous financial year.
    • Pay bills via Bpay.
    • Change your telephone access code
  • Mobile Banking app

    With our Mobile Banking app you can access your funds remotely and safely, when you need them. You have 24/7 access to:

    • Obtain yearly interest earned details for taxation purposes (for current and previous financial year only).
    • Redraw funds available under any redraw facility on your loan where redraw has been activated.
    • Edit/delete BPAY Biller, External Funds Transfer and NPP payee details.
    • Change the payment frequency for future dated payments.
    • View, modify or delete future dated payments.
  • Branches

  • Personal Cheque Book

    Order a cheque book to make easy payments to third parties.

    • Cheque books are linked to a Transaction Account.
    • Cheques have built-in security features to avoid fraudulent activity.
    • Cheque books can be re-ordered via Internet Banking or by calling us.
    • Cheque book orders will be charged. Refer to Terms and Conditions: Part B for fees and charges.
