What is Bank@Post Barcode Banking?

Bank@Post Barcode Banking is a service where you can order a unique encoded barcode for your Bank First account. Using this barcode, you can make deposits, withdrawals and pay your bills using Bank First Visa Debit or Visa Credit Cards at one of over 3,500 participating Australia Post Offices nationwide. To find your closest participating Post Office, visit Australia Post.

You can now also make deposits using a unique encoded Bank@Post barcode. Order one for your account today.

With Bank@Post, you can:

  • Securely make deposits and withdrawals on your account using your Bank First Card and the associated PIN (Cheque deposits must be payable to the name on the Card being used).

  • Conveniently deposit cash and cheques using your unique Bank@Post Barcode (Cheque deposits are to be made in the name of the account E.g. Business name etc.)

  • Pay your bills.

  • Get immediate access to cash deposits. (Funds from cheque deposits are available after 5 business days.)

Frequently asked questions

  • Order your barcode via online order form or through Internet Banking under ‘Services’. You will receive your barcode within 7 days direct to your email.

  • Order your unique encoded barcode through either of the options mentioned above. Once you receive your barcode, simply visit any participating Australia Post Office to deposit cash or cheques to your account. You can use the barcode directly from your emails or download it to your mobile wallet.

  • Yes, you will still be able to use your Visa Debit Card to deposit cash or cheques. Bank@Post Barcode Banking is another way for you to deposit funds into your account.

  • No, the barcode is for depositing funds only.You can make withdrawals using your Visa Debit Card at Australia Post Offices or at ATMs.

  • Cash deposits will appear in your account by the next business day. Cheques can take up to 7 days to clear. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information.

  • No, there is no additional cost for our Members to use this service.

  • Yes, limits do apply. The maximum cash deposit amount is $9,995 and the maximum cheque deposit amount is $999,999 per transaction.
