Using ATMs to access your money

Did you know you can use any of the four major bank ATMs across Australia without paying a fee? Find out how.

EFTPOS

By pressing CHQ or SAV when using a Visa Debit Card you can make EFTPOS purchases and withdraw cash at POS terminals across Australia. The combined maximum limit for POS, ATM and Bank@Post transactions is $1020 per day.
Transactions via EFTPOS are fee free.

Visa Debit Card

By pressing CREDIT when using a Bank First Visa Debit Card you can make purchases at POS terminals across Australia.

Daily limit

The daily EFTPOS limit is $1,020 per card, including any fees and charges. This is accessed by using the 'savings' or 'cheque' functionality, and includes ATM and Bank@Post transactions.
For EFTPOS transactions that are larger than the daily limit, please contact us.
For external payments, a maximum Member daily limit of $22,000 applies, with sub-limits also applicable. Learn more.
