Our impact
We’re here for those who care for others, backing the communities they’re part of and investing in meaningful initiatives that create positive change where it matters.
Putting teachers and nurses first
By the numbers
$168,500 in scholarships and grants that provide real support to teachers, nurses, students and community initiatives, when in matters most.
More than 13,000 nurse care packs distributed annually through our partnership with Pinchapoo, supporting healthcare workers. We also support Pinchapoo’s hospital program, providing hygiene essentials to patients.
By investing directly in our charity partners, we're helping to strengthen the communities we serve.
For more than three decades, the Teaching Initiatives Program has helped schools across Victoria bring innovative learning ideas to life.
Every Bank First staff member receives volunteer leave to support initiatives including State Schools’ Relief stocktakes and preparing hygiene and care packs with Pinchapoo.
More than 300 healthcare workers shared their experiences, challenges and priorities around financial wellbeing through The Shift research initiative. Those insights are helping shape better banking experiences for nurses.
I’m now working full time as a primary school teacher. This award has been instrumental in helping me get started in my new career. I am very grateful for the recognition.
Nursing makes me happy every day. My mum, brother and sister are nurses – when I got the scholarship, the first thing I thought was that I must make them proud.
We make money so that we can do good things with that money. And we employ people who want to do good things too.
