Bank First offers sending and receiving of international funds transfers that can clear in as little as three business days.
Internal Transfers
Internal transfers are transfers you can do between your own accounts. You can make instant internal transfers using Internet Banking and the Bank First App.
The fastest way to transfer between your Bank First accounts is via Internet Banking or the Bank First App.
Internet Banking
Select Pay and then Transfer Money.
In the From tab, select the account you want to transfer from.
In the To tab, select which account you would like to transfer to.
Enter the amount you want to transfer and when you would
like the transfer to be made.Enter a reference if you would like to label the transfer.
Hit Next.
Double check all your details and then hit Submit.
Bank First App
Select Pay and then Transfer.
In the From tab, select the account you want to transfer from.
In the To tab, select which account you would like to transfer to.
Enter the amount you want to transfer and when you would
like the transfer to be made.Enter a description if you would like to label the transfer.
Hit Pay.
Yes. You can schedule a transfer between your accounts. You should ensure that you have sufficient funds available throughout the day to satisfy the payment.
You can also set up regular payments weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly.There is no maximum daily limit for transfers between accounts that are linked. Any amount may be transferred up to the available account balance or credit facility.
External Transfers
There are 3 ways to pay with a Bank First account.
It’s a simple way to send money to an external account within Australia. It’s sometimes called a ‘pay anyone transfer’. Transfers between banks can take up to 2 business days depending on when the transfer is made - it can take longer when transfers are made late in the day, on weekends and public holidays.
Osko is an innovative payment service, built on the New Payments Platform. It allows you to:

Flexible Payments: Use a registered PayID (mobile number, email address or ABN) or you can still use a BSB and Account Number.

Pay someone
Login to Internet Banking.
Select Pay.
Select Transfer Money.
In the From section, select the account you want to pay from.
For existing payee: In the To section, scroll down and select an existing payee.
Select either - Standard Transfer or Osko.
For new payees, SMS One Time Password will be required: In the To section, select New Payee and;
Select either Financial Account, Email address, Phone Number, ABN or Organisation ID.
If you select Financial Account, enter the payee’s BSB Number, Account Number and Account Name.
If you select Email address, Phone Number, ABN or Organisation ID, enter the payee's details.
Enter Amount.
In the When section, select Recurring.
Enter the frequency and when you would like the payments to start and end.
You can choose to enter a reference for the payment.
Hit Next and check all the details are correct.
Hit Submit.
You should ensure that you have sufficient funds available throughout the day to satisfy the payment.

You should ensure that you have sufficient funds available throughout the day to satisfy the payment.
We will withdraw funds from your account on the date the payment is requested. If the payment is scheduled for immediate payment, funds will be withdrawn immediately.
If you have scheduled the payment, funds will not be withdrawn until that date.
If there are available funds in your account on the date specified for the payment, the payment will be processed between 9:30am and 4:45pm AEDT.
With a Standard Transfer it can take up to 3 business days depending on when the transfer is made - it can take longer when transfers are made late in the day, on weekends and public holidays.
With Osko, you can use a PayID to make payments and the money will be there in near real-time and is available all day, everyday.
For Standard Transfers the cut off time is 4:45pm AEDT.
With Osko there is no cut off time, you can use a PayID to make payments and the money will be there in near real-time and is available all day, everyday.
No. We do not support the use of 3rd party applications such as POLi.
Transfer Limits
You can change your daily transaction limits in Internet Banking.
Login to Internet Banking.
Select Settings.
Then select Daily Transaction Limits to update your limits.
Once updated, the limits are cumulative and apply to transactions made via Internet Banking, the Bank First App and apply to all your accounts.
Your daily transactions limits reset at midnight AEDT.
Add Payees, Schedule and Stop Transfers
You can either add a new payee when making an external transfer or via the payee address book.
Login to Internet Banking.
Select Pay.
Select Address Book.
Select Add New Payee.
Select PayID (Mobile, Email, ABN) or BSB and Account Number
Enter the Payee details.
Select Get SMS and enter a valid SMS One Time Password.
Select Save.
Yes, you can view, edit or delete a payee via the Payee Address Book in Internet Banking.
Login to Internet Banking.
Select Pay.
Select Address Book.
Select Change to edit the payee's details.
Or select Delete to delete the payee from your address book.
Login to Internet Banking.
Select Pay.
Select Future Payments.
Select Manage and then Modify Payment.
Select Next to confirm the alteration.
Select Get SMS and enter your SMS One Time Password.
Hit Submit.
If you have made a mistaken payment, you should contact us immediately so we can attempt to recover the funds for you.
No, we are unable to stop or cancel a transfer. However, please contact us if this has occurred and we can attempt to recover the funds for you (fees may apply).
