Over recent years, Quarry Hill Primary School has welcomed a growing number of families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
This school is committed to ensuring that all families feel a strong sense of belonging from the moment they step onto school grounds.
Many new students are English as an Additional Language learners, and their families often face the added challenge of navigating a new language and unfamiliar school system.
To support a more inclusive and welcoming environment, Quarry Hill Primary School has created of a series of professionally designed and painted Welcome Signs to be installed at the entrances and key outdoor locations of our school buildings. These signs feature the word "Welcome" in the home languages of the school’s student population.
Teaching Initiatives Program
For more than 30 years Bank First has funded innovative projects in Victorian schools. Through the Teaching Initiatives Program, we're proud to continue our legacy of supporting educators with 'the little bit extra' that makes a huge difference for students.
