Victoria Teachers Limited (trading as Bank First) invites you to participate in its Nurses Research project. We request that you read and provide your consent to confirm your participation in the Project and your acceptance of the acknowledgements set out below.

Nurses Research (the Project) 

Purpose of the Project  
Bank First would like to understand and support the financial wellbeing of nurses. You are invited to participate in this Project to share your experience and insights about your financial wellbeing to help us create financial solutions that support every stage of personal and professional goals of nurses like you.  

Participation involvement  
You will be invited to participate in a one-to-one conversation with one of Bank First’s team members. The conversation will be conducted via Microsoft Teams at a time and date that is suitable for you. The questions asked during the session will be based around your financial goals, wellbeing and the type of support you would expect from a financial institution. Whilst we encourage you to be as open and as transparent as possible, we respect your privacy, and you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.  

Participation acknowledgements 
You acknowledge and agree that: 

• you have read and understood the information provided to you about the Project; 

• you have been given the opportunity to ask questions about your participation and you received satisfactory answers; 

• your participation is voluntary, and you can refuse to answer any questions or withdraw at any time without providing any reason; 

• you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by Bank First for the purpose of the Project; 

• your conversation may be recorded if you provide your consent to the Bank First team member to record the Microsoft Teams meeting;  

• where you have consented to the recording of your meeting, the recording may be shared or communicated by Bank First internally within Bank First; 

• Bank First may take written notes during your meeting or develop materials from the information provided by you; and  

• Bank First may de-identify or anonymise any information collected from you and share externally (publicly) for commercial purposes; and

• Bank First may communicate or share any information collected from you internally including to other Bank First staff and internal stakeholders.  

Confidentiality and privacy 

All information provided by you will remain confidential and will only be used for the purpose of the Project. To the extent we share any information collected from you publicly, we will de-identify the information.

You understand that any personal information collected from you may be anonymised and may be used in future Bank First projects or initiatives. Any personal information collected from you will be used in accordance with Bank First's privacy policy.  If you do not share your personal information, you may not be able to participate in the Project. Our Privacy Policy contains information about accessing and seeking correction of your personal information, making a privacy-related complaint and our complaint handling process. If you would like to inform us that you do not wish to receive direct marketing material from us, request access to or the correction of information we hold about you, or make a complaint, please refer to our Privacy Policy. Exclusion of liability  
Bank First will take all reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality and security of the information you provide. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Bank First will not be liable for any loss, damage or harm arising directly or indirectly out of your participation in this Project except where it is caused by Bank First’s negligence or wilful misconduct.
