Workplace Gender Equality

Bank First Statement

Bank First remains consistent in its commitment to fostering inclusivity, diversity and gender equality within our organisation. This commitment is not merely a statement for us; it's embedded in our purpose.  Our first loan was to a single mother, who found it difficult to secure finance for a rental. More than 50 years later, we can proudly say that we have continued to embody this purpose for our people, and our Members. Today, our executive leadership team, including our Board Chair, are female.

For the 2022/23 reporting period, our median gender pay gap stood at 22%, with an average gender pay gap of 13.7%. As you can see from the infographic.  We have a balanced gender split in our executive and senior roles.  However, this is offset by a higher proportion of females in individual contributor roles.

Bank First will continue with a data-informed approach to close the gap; further analysing our current position and formulating a strategy for improvement. We are confident that with the work already underway for 2024/25 that we will continue to improve our gender pay gap.
