The idea
Sacred Heart College is creating a simulated workplace where disengaged students build a professional-grade fire-fighting trailer. The project provides authentic, industry-level experience in fabrication and engineering.
TIP impact
With support from Bank First's Teaching Initiatives Program, students will gain hands-on experience in a real-world learning environment while building practical skills in fabrication and engineering. The initiative builds pride, skill and purpose while strengthening pathways into vocational education. Success will be measured through engagement, skill competency and sustained participation in school.
