In an era dominated by digital devices, Botanic Ridge Primary School’s Unplug and Read initiative aims to support students' attention spans and deep-reading capabilities. By providing high-quality, engaging fiction and non-fiction books for students to take home, Unplug and Read will engage reluctant readers and captivate students’ minds.

TIP Impact

Engaging students in nightly reading will support comprehension and students’ ability to recognise words, with the goal of enhancing academic performance within Botanic Ridge Primary School. The school will also distribute family engagement newsletters with tips for screen-free home reading. Success will be measured through average nights read per week and qualitive feedback from teachers, parents, and students.
