Malmsbury Primary School
The idea
Malmsbury Primary School is creating a Yarning Circle designed in partnership with Dja Dja Wurrung representatives, embedding cultural knowledge into the physical environment of the school. The space will bring together Indigenous plantings, natural materials and a mosaic reflecting the seasonal calendar.
TIP impact
With support from Bank First's Teaching Initiatives Program, students will gain a dedicated space for storytelling, reflection and connection. This project creates a meaningful place for learning and cultural exchange. Success will be demonstrated through regular use of the space, increased cultural understanding among students and stronger engagement with Indigenous perspectives and community members.
