Hamlyn Views School
The idea
Hamlyn Views School is transforming unrecyclable plastic waste into a culturally significant mural, led by students with disabilities. The project combines sustainability, art and Indigenous culture through the creation of Wadawurrung-inspired designs.
TIP impact
With support from Bank First's Teaching Initiatives Program, students will help create a lasting artwork that brings together sustainability, creativity and cultural learning. The initiative creates lasting public artwork while promoting environmental responsibility. Success will be measured through completion of the mural, community participation and increased student confidence and cultural connection.
