Marysville Primary School
Marysville Primary School will work with Aunty Lee, an Aboriginal elder who teaches Aboriginal culture, and Paul Sonsie, a Taungurung Aboriginal artist, to design and paint a mural on the school's art room. Students will collaborate with Aunty Lee and Paul to bring the mural to life and understand the history and significant of the Aboriginal design elements featured.
Marysville Primary School students who participate in this cultural experience will be able to share their joy and insights with parents and grandparents, many of whom also attended Marysville Primary School. In turn, these students may one day share their experiences with their own children and grandchildren, who might attend the school in the future.
