Greater Shepparton Secondary College
Greater Shepparton Secondary College's Agriculture continues to grow and thrive, engaging increasing numbers of students in both hands-on, industry-related and classroom learning.
This current initiative is to support having animals at school, in particular sheep and calves, so that students who choose Agriculture can participate in the Victorian Merino Wether Challenge and the Cows Create Careers programs.
Both programs are highly successful and allow students to experience hands-on learning with animals and learn about sustainable production, land management and careers in the relevant industries.
The Merino Wether Challenge is a huge program which runs in NSW, SA and WA and has started in Victoria this year.
