The garden will be designed by students from Year 7 - 12 as part of the general curriculum.

For junior students, the garden will be used for them to investigate the role of classification in ordering and organising the diversity of life on Earth and to use and develop classification tools. They will explore the theory of evolution by natural selection explains past and present diversity and analyse scientific evidence to support theories.

Senior students studying Biology will find the garden help for VCE Unit 2 Biology. Students will use the garden to explore the structural, physiological and behavioural adaptations that enhance an organism's survival and which enables life to exist in a wide range of environments.

A variety of examples of different plant types will enhance student learning outcomes - linking directly with ACARA and VCE Biology.

The garden will also be used as a place of wellbeing - a pleasant area for students to work in.
